Lunch and dinner are prepared onsite daily for students, faculty, and staff. The workshop provides vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options for meals as needed. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, and sodas are provided throughout the day.
Typical lunch offerings: do-it-yourself deli sandwich fixings, vegetarian/vegan pasta, bean, or lentil salad, chips, fruit.
Typical dinner offerings: chicken with mashed potatoes, beef or turkey tacos, chicken curry with rice, lasagna with garlic bread. A salad and/or roasted vegetables are also prepared nearly every night.
Typical vegan/vegetarian dinner offerings: vegetarian lasagna, vegetable tian with beans or tofu, vegetable curry with rice, roasted tomato soup.
Prior to arrival, accepted students must provide information on any dietary restrictions and allergies. Family members accompanying the student may eat with the group for a nominal fee but will also be required to provide information on dietary restrictions. Please query if you are thinking of bringing an accompanying family member.
The workshop will consult with anyone who indicates significant restrictions for a more detailed understanding of their needs. In cases of severe dietary constraints, the workshop may be unable to guarantee meals meeting those needs. In such cases, the workshop will refund a portion of the tuition to offset the cost of providing meals for themselves. The workshop is unable to provide kosher or halal meals.
